Copyright
Can I protect my work? Should I register it? What are my rights?
Every piece of work is unique and should be protected. Copyright appears the moment a work is created, which is why registering it is highly recommended in order to prove authorship and the date of its creation.
Any original piece of work can be registered as long as it is expressed using a tangible medium.
They are various different types of works:
Literary works
Musical work, including any vocal accompaniment
Dramatic works, including any accompanying music
Choreographic works and pantomimes
Pictorial, graphic and sculptural works
Cinematic works
Sound recordings
Architectural works

All of these categories should be understood in the widest sense. For example, as literary works we can protect websites, databases, IT/software programmes and even mobile apps.
At INGENIAS we can advice you, depending on the nature of your work, on the different registration possibilities.
